Buena Vista University (BVU) men’s tennis team brings home a win after last Saturdays home match against Simpson College with a final score of 5-4.
The men’s team posted wins from first-years Mike Sporer, Cole Renken, sophomore Christian Price and junior Keifer Nevius.
BVU will host their next match against Wartburg College this Saturday, March 9 starting at 11 a.m.
“If we win the match we have the opportunity to get in the top team singles, where they take the top six teams,” Head Coach, Kevin McCadams said.
Coach McCadams looks forward to the competition this weekend and is very proud of the men’s tennis team this year. He also adds that the first-year players have really stepped up to the plate this season.
The women’s tennis team will have their spring season opener next Wednesday, April 13, against Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.
Although they have a short spring season, Coach McCadams is excited to see the team back on the court and looks forward to starting their season next fall.
